Relaxation massage focuses on the whole body - reducing muscle tension while simultaneously soothing the nervous system to calm and quieten the mind - which is overstimulated by stress.
What to expect from your session?
With an increasingly stressful environment we find ourselves living and working, it's more important than ever to nurture our bodies. Having a regular relaxation massage certainly helps to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being.
You will be welcomed into my warm, peaceful home clinic and asked to fill out a health history form. After discussing where the main areas of tension are within your body the massage can begin.
During your massage your privacy will be respected at all times and you will be draped with large towels to maintain your modesty and warmth. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Within minutes of your massage beginning, you will feel the tension melting away. Slow strokes will be used to allow your body to relax and unwind while medium pressure will be applied to your muscles to relieve any muscle pain or tension.
It's important to let me know if any stroke or technique is uncomfortable so it can be adjusted to your needs.
After your session
After your massage you may feel a little light headed or sleepy so it's important not to do anything strenuous for the next day or two.
Remember to drink plenty of water to assist the elimination of metabolic wastes from your system.
